As a transplanted Yankee (Worcester, MA) I've fallen in love with the NC coast as well as the temperate winters (but not the steamy summers!) I took the photo in the header of my favorite place in NC, Ocracoke Island. We go there as often as possible for its lack of commercialism, its natural beauty and the wonderful people there.
